Beyond Carbon: Restoring Landscapes and Biodiversity at Beechwood Estate
Arch has invested in carbon offsetting by establishing a commercial relationship with Beechwood Estate, accredited by the UK Carbon Code of Conduct.
Beechwood Estate has transformed arable farmland into wildflower meadows using innovative green hay gathering techniques, and has planted hundreds of kilometres of hedgerows along ancient boundaries. These all contribute to carbon sequestration as they mature.
Improved woodland management, selective felling, and natural regeneration are monitored through LIDAR technology to enhance carbon removal.
The farm has also transitioned to organic farming, integrating livestock into arable systems to enhance soil carbon sequestration. Planned interventions for 2025 include wetland creation, agroforestry, and enhanced rock weathering.
With interconnected habitats, the project goes far beyond carbon reduction; it improves biodiversity across the site. Wildlife such as barn owls, buzzards, kestrels, and rare insects thrive in these restored environments.

Driving Sustainable Innovation with REI
At Arch, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond compliance.
Through our commercial partnership with REI Limited, we invest in innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact and promote circular economy principles.
One key initiative is the adoption of the Revived Combination Unit, delivering a carbon saving of over 25 tonnes of COâ‚‚ on the tank build alone. By extending the lifecycle of this critical asset and reducing the need for virgin materials, we’re significantly lowering our operational footprint.
We’re also proud to support The Revive Warrior; a breakthrough in sustainable wastewater management. Designed to be revived more than three times throughout its lifespan, it exemplifies our commitment to reducing waste and promoting long-term sustainability.
Together, Arch and REI are setting new standards for responsible operations. Driving innovation that benefits both our business and the planet.
